Site signing in issues

Hi everyone,

I've noticed some folks having trouble signing into the Wix site. To make things easier, I've added a new troubleshooting guide right next to the sign-in tab on every page.

Here's a quick tip:

After you join the site, you'll only receive a welcome email once. Registering again (as some do multiple times) won't trigger another welcome email (the site recognizes you're already a member!).

Doing so and registering with multiple emails may also block your access due to security settings.

If you're still having trouble:

  • Check out the new troubleshooting guide for helpful tips.

  • If the guide doesn't solve the issue, the best solution might be for me to remove your existing accounts and for you to start fresh. This may reset things and allow you to sign in smoothly.

Tips to avoid CAPTCHA:

  • Enable Cookies: Wix uses cookies to track activity and identify legitimate users. Make sure your browser allows cookies, especially third-party cookies, from Wix. Check your browser settings for cookie management.

  • Turn off "Do Not Track": Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" setting that might interfere with CAPTCHA verification. Try disabling it for Wix.

  • Clear Browsing Data: Sometimes, cached data or browsing history can cause issues. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies before signing in to Wix.

Additional Information:

While I can't disable CAPTCHA entirely, Wix's security system might use it automatically if it detects suspicious activity.

It is time consuming creating great content for you, and I want everyone to enjoy it. So please don't hesitate to reach out if you need a 'reset'.

All very valid points indeed. But generally (for at least the lasts 25 years or so) I‘m using browsers „out of the box“. I never customize them, add plugins or what ever because I sometimes work on client websites and I wanted to make sure that everything just behaves normally (meaning what an average person would experience using the site in question). But you know what? Thinking about it maybe Luna (our new feline) changed something on my browsers settings. 🤔 That darn cat loves to walk constantly over the open laptop or to lay down on the key board - if she doesn’t straighten up soon I‘ll throw her over board, lol. 🙀

Yep Luna could be to blame lol!! My cats like sitting on the keyboard when I'm not present!! I have three of the attention and heat seeking moggies.

The problem I have is the stupid recaptcha- I select all the things it asks for, click verify, and then it just reverts to another recaptcha- over and over and over. I got it to work in Chrome, but not in Firefox.

Wix is a giant pain in the butt at times but it has its positives. I'm too far gone to change it now. Transferring the content etc. I think they all have their issues from my experience of wordpress and other platforms. Just different types. My wordpress sites were always crashing when there was a new post and influx of traffic but I think wordpress was better in terms of SEO.
